Hinchliffe query
« on: Sunday 06 June 10 16:45 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Has anyone got Jacob Hinchliffe bn abt 1803 on their tree.

Jacob married Sarah Mellor 1822 Silkstone.
Can't find them in 1841 but have found a James Hinchliffe at  Dirk Royd Penistone.

 James Hinchliffe age  35
Sarah       "                 32
Mary Moorhouse        35

Is this the same couple?

Found two deaths for a Sarah Hinchliffe 1842 / 1846 Wortley free bmd.

Also found marriage of a Jacob Hinchliffe = Mary Moorhouse 1849 Wortley
But can only find a James & Mary in 1851

1851 census Dirk Royd Penistone
James Hinchliffe age 48
Mary      "                  47

Is this James on both census records Jacob Hinchliffe ?

Any help appreciated.

KR  :)

Thanks Skylark,

Is Lockwood Emmanuel anywhere near the Cumberworth area ?

He was discharged from the 15th foot in 1834 aged 31, that's the last record I have of him.

Not sure where he was living after that date.

Lockwood is a suburb of Huddersfield and Cumberworth is a village about 7 miles south of Huddersfield.

Emmanuel C of E Church in Lockwood.
