What Date Is This Photo?

I am hoping this photo is of my great great granddad, but I am not sure.

He died in 1869 aged 49. Would this photo fit in with this information?

He lived all his life in Chester, which is what gave me a clue that it may be him in the photo as it has a Chester photographer's name on it - W Speed.

I apologise for the quality, I don't have the original. It is a photocopy of a photocopy of the original.

Yes, it would fit. From what I can see of the hairstyle and pose, this is likely an early 1860s photo.
