He may never have known he was illegitimate, he may have een told his father died?

Or he never told his wife when they were married, the information on a death certificate is only as good as the informants knowledge of the deceased

this is more confusing.
More children

1Florence Matilda Hok Seon born 1876 No 16251
2. Mary Alice Hok Seon-the person in question
3. Arthur Hok Seon death Collingwood age 2 Father Joseph (Hok Seon) mother Mary Ann Whilding year 1881 Victoria 882
4.Minnie Elizabeth Hok Seon Birth Collingwood Year 1871 No 22383. Married Ernest Robert Ellard Victoria 1891 No 2138
Death Mary Ann Hock Seon -father Thomas Wilding and mother Charlotte Melbourne age 80 year 1933

Think Mary Ann took on a number of surnames-do you think.. as have her down as Wilding,Lawerence and Hok Seon now.Maybe Leslie Edward Lawerence Dad's surname was Lawerence? I thought my family was confusing.......

Who is John Glynn in relation to Mary Ann Wilding?  He died in 1898, wealthy, leaving assets of Two thousand and seventy pounds 2/6.
In the Melb Gen cemetry grave is Ellen 1yo, then John Glynn d1898, then Mary Ann Wilding (Hok Seon) d1933
Mary Ann had three children after death of husband James Hok Seon.  Mary Alice b1886, Leslie Edward Laurence b1891  Ellen Hong b1895.

Multiman

Where did you obtain  the information on John Glynn dying in 1898  with regards to him being wealthy etc ?

Jenn[/b]

Multiman obviously has their wires crossed here  ::)

It was James GLYNN that had assets to the amount of £2070.2/6  ;D

His WILL is on PROV to read & it was all left to his wife Margaret Glynn.

James death details are:

GLYNN Jas age 48yrs d. 1898 FAIRFIELD #2111
Father: Glynn Edw
Mother: Bridt MURRAY

So, I haven't a clue where Multiman got the idea that it was John Glynn's assets  ::)
