The Civil War was from 1861-1865 so I think if  they died it was before that time. Thank you for letting me know about the findmypast sight. I have used it in the past but forgot about it.

Dare I ask, if that wraps up the Reynolds ?  I know we have'nt got a marriage for Edith but the females are usually more difficult and we have no marriage records to look at.
Have you found the date of death for Jennie Reynolds ?

From what I have learned Jennie Reynolds died about 1955 Bay Shore, New York, USA and is buried in Hackensack, New Jersey, USA but I have not been able to verify it yet.

Forgot to add that I have learned that Edith Moss Reynolds (b. 1915-1916 in New York) married a John Van Winkle (date unknown) and had 3 children that I am aware of: Lynn, John, and Juno. Again, dates of birth are unknown to me at this time.

So possibly a RAOGK in Bergen. There is one listed for look ups and photos of tombstones.

http://www.raogk.org/newjersey.htm

I did tentavely look for a death record but never found one for Edith Van Winkle, wonder if that could be Bergen as well. Another question to ask RAOGK ? (I had temporarily forgotten that)

Thanks to dettori28, I discovered a new windrum researcher who went on the air about 10 months ago, and may have useful information. I probably would not have gone back as soon to ancestry.com's public trees page without your prompting.

Hello Ralph.

I am so pleased that things are turning out well for you (or you have a glimmer of hope) in your research into the Windrum family.  Do hope that you can make progress, it is always difficult for anyone trying to access and obtain information for Irish Ancestors.

Regards.

Sandra

Hi Punch.

Sorry got interrupted again - we have a problem here because Mary is appearing on the 1870 Census when she was married to Thomas Carson. I will have to go back to where the marriage info came from to check this out again  ???

1870 Olive, Ulster, New York

William Windrum 80 Agnes Windrum 50
Mary Windrum 25 John Windrum 23
Eliza Windrum 21 Matilda Windrum 18
Sarah Windrum 11

The confusion about the wives of William Windrum is simply resolved: he had one, Agnes Nancy Mariah Brown. She has also been noted to have the name Marian instead of Mariah. Hazel Windrum who died at 104 yrs of age around 2000 said it was Mariah, and confirmed there was a single wife of
William. I can send the full family tree back to Ireland for anyone interested. Just email me at (*). It is in Legacy pdf format, and can easily be read.
