Edmund Clark, Widower, Gentleman, of Southsea, Portsmouth, aged 32, so born abt 1832, son of Richard Clark, Merchant
and
Jane Elizabeth Simpson, Widow, of 1 Lime Grove, Shepherds Bush, aged 30, so born abt 1834, daughter of Josephus Simpson deceased, Gentleman
married by banns on 20 Dec 1864, in the parish church of St Stephen, Shepherds Bush in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in the county of Middlesex
Both parties signed.  Witnesses who also signed were Ellen Shergold and Edmund Budge

Wondered about the maiden-name of Jane being Simpson as well as her married name being Simpson so checked original again and realised her father's name was entered as Josephus Smith on the original - it was indexed as Simpson though

Thanks for all your help my main interest was with Anna Maria Francis as she was my ggg aunt the daughter of my ggg grandfather Enoch Cole. It looks like she died sometime between 1862 and 1864 so that is my next task, it would be easier if she did'nt keep switching between Anna and Maria as her first name !!! Once again thanks for all your help you people out there are great.

'Hastings' is probably the strangely named Ann in the 1881

Cant find "Hasting" in 1871 or 1881 though!
1901 misindexed as Hastings.

why have you editted the 1861 transcription to 1851 ?
