Amos Wills Grocer Chipping Barnet
« on: Wednesday 16 June 10 22:08 BST (UK) »
Amos had a grocers shop in the High Street, Chipping Barnet from about 1900. During the WWII when rationing was in force he appears to have had to make entries on a form as attached. Does anyone remember such forms and can tell me something about what grocers and similar people had to do?
Thanks, Toby.

These Registers had to be kept by local shopkeepers.

see: "What could people buy" on the left.

I believe they were used to show the number of "regular" customers so the the wholesalers doled out the proper quantities.
