One of the children appears to have died in 1977:

I am the grandson of Charles Henry Chew and the son of David Chew mentioned in this thread.

I accidently came across this just doing some research. I will PM Gareth as well as responding here.

I've communicated with Chris - he also contacted me via my book's Facebook page - and (now that the thread has leapt back towards the top of the list) I should point out that the book I was researching was published last May.
