I have found Sarah Jane Doran in several census up to and including 1901. She was living with her parents, John and Sarah Doran in Portland Place, Carlisle. After that date, I can't find a marriage, death record or anything.

Any help would be most appreciated.

What is Sarah's date and place of birth?
I just looked for her in 1901 with her parents but I can't find her. What is the 1901 census reference? (There are a few other Sarah Dorans in Cumberland).

I've found her on the 1891 and she was 10 on that and place of birth was Carlisle. Still looking for her in 1901. Don't have the 1891 ref because I used it just to check. She is down as Sarah Jane

I'll leave it in your reliable hands as it's getting a bit late for me and, so far, I don't see her on either of the sources that I have - there seem to be lots of Sarahs born Carlisle 1881 +/- 2 and my eyes are sore

A bit off topic but ...

In 1901 there is another Doran family in Botchergate Carlisle (where Sarah Jane and family are living in 1891) - head is Robert.

Alison, is this Doran family related to yours? Ah yes, looking again at ages, this Robert might be the brother of your Sarah Jane.

I'll have another look for her in 1901. I hope Alison comes back to set us straight. Nitey nite Gadget.

My apologies for having wasted your time. I have an address for the 1901 census. Unfortunately, I've tried to find her under the 1901 census and can't find a thing. I don't recall the source. I'll continue going through my notes, etc. If I find something, I'll let you know.

Hi Ruskie,
I've just read your additional message. Robert Doran was Sarah Jane's brother. Sarah Jane was born 1880 in Carlisle. Her parents were John and Sarah Doran.
Not to confuse matters, Robert Doran had a daughter, Sarah Ellen Doran.
