Lant - Huntingdonshire

So there's a child (actually two - see below) baptised to Edward and Eleanor, then two to William and Eleanor (with no marriage in Hunts of William & Eleanor) then back to Edward and Eleanor again.

I was thinking more that the parish register was in error, "iffy"!, when it named the parents as William and Eleanor (although the 1802 baptism of Edward actually gives his father as Edward, not William, and the 1793 baptism of Edith gives mother as Eleanor not Elizabeth).

You may need to go back another generation or two until the lines meet.

Lant clarification. G'Day, unrelated to the above discussion(s) vis-a-vis Lant ; my GGGGF (John Castledine) married Frances Lant 26 Aug 1802 in Ramsey. I have 2 different dates for her birth - 23 Aug 1778 and 1781 - both in Ramsey, parents Edward & Mary. Can someone verify which date is correct? Much appreciated - Brian Castledine...............
