The Diary of Nathaniel Bryceson (Part 3)
« on: Sunday 27 June 10 01:39 BST (UK) »
Welcome to Part 3.  ;D

We're starting this on a happy day. The 27th is Nat's mother's birthday and her wedding anniversary. I didn't notice that she married Matthew on her birthday. It's confirmation that we are correct with both of these events.

For anyone who wants to catch up .....

On page one of Part 2 is a recap of our discoveries and a timeline.

And of course, the diary  :):

Marriage was June 24 1841 so they must have waited to the end of week to celebrate.

Linda, I've got the marriage between Mary Bryceson and Matthew Ward as today, June 27th ... :-\

Regarding your last post on Part 2 asking if it might be possible to get a scan of Nat's original handwriting of Mrs Skirricker's name ....  there's no harm in asking.  ;)

I believe he has spelled her name at least two different ways. We need to dig these up so we can give the exact dates he writes the name in order to request scans.  :)

Ah yes, so it does. I'll get Deb to change that when she gets back from her holiday.  :)

I know he attempted to, but was Nat ever successful in catching Mrs S. leaving the address where he believes she lives?

As someone mentioned earlier, I also wondered if she might just be making a regular after-church visit to the Barnsbury Park house.

No I don't recall that he did. Someone with a better memory than me might know otherwise.  ;)
