My immediate thought was time of the month.  Bit weird calling it plaster though.  Why is NB referring to her as Ann Fox??  She is his lover...why not just Ann?

(hello all!  have had a lot of probs with internet connection...only got 15 mins of the 90 mins free on GMP yesterday :( )

Oh, in the summary Part 2 it has the 24th.

Ah yes, so it does. I'll get Deb to change that when she gets back from her holiday.  :)

hi ...

Ruskie ...I can't modify the date as the thread is locked. Hopefully we'll be on at the same time later and you can unlock it and I will amend the date!

sorry about that

Of course, yes, Deb, I forgot about the post being locked. We'll meet up later and I'll unlock it for you so you can change the date.  :)

I hope you had a nice break. That week really flew by.

Nat tends to call people by their full names as he does with Ann eg. Matthew Ward. And I always think it a bit of a mouthful to call his gran "poor old Granny Shepard" - it implies there is another gran although there isn't.

[Such a shame that you didn't get the full 90 minutes Daisy.  :-\ I actually ran out of things to search for - if only I'd known I could've done some lookups for you.  :(]

Today's entry - 29th June:

If only Nat gave us this kind of detail every day. Unfortunately nothing about Ann and her plaster, but some detailed news about other family. And the last sentence ...  :o

Also interesting is the detail about the 'improvements' in the area.

What Nat wants is more roughage in his diet, which I expect consisted mainly of white bread, tea and meat - I don't think his dip in the river hurt him - he's just got a very bad case of constipation! He wants a good dose of castor oil.

Bed bugs and fleas were just part of everyday life in the past. Something to think about if time travel ever does become possible - pack the insect repellent along with the paracetamol.

Poor Granny Shepard ....

Bit weird calling it plaster though.

Why? You are dealing with the english language of 164 years ago. Perhaps its a bit weird calling a band aid a plaster and that should have been called something else.
