Oh Dear! Have just checked my notes again and found the marriage of Elizabeth Bertol and James Paton on 26 Aug 1836 was at Paisley Low CHurch, not Paisley High as I had thought. Any chance next time you go to Edinburgh Records Centre you could have a peek at it? I would be very grateful if you could.
As far as I can find out they only had 2 children - a daughter Elizabeth born 5 Aug 1836 , christened Paisley Oakshaw Congregational; and a son Thomas christened 19 Jan 1840 - so you would think they would be on the 1841 Census. But can't find them.
