« on: Wednesday 30 March 05 01:37 BST (UK) »
Hi could someone out there do me the great favour of tracking this family down for me. this is how they looked in 1871

George Redfern   Head  61     Draper   b. Thorpe, Derbyshire
Amy Martin Redfern Wife 59                 b. Shirland, Derbyshire
Sarah Lydia Redfern Dau 31  Milliner    b. Bollington Cheshire

They were living  Queens Bench Buildings, Bollington, Cheshire

As the daughter was born in Bollington. I presume they are in Bollington for both the census.

Any other info on this family most gratefullly recieved.

Thanks Angela.

Hi,

George and Amy Redfern had a son called James aswell. He was born in Bollington 1833. The family seemed to have all stayed in Bollington from 1871 to 1901 and I feel sure they should be in Bollington 1841, 51 and 61. I do hope someone can do this lookup as I have other possible children to this couple but without the census will not know for sure. Thanks

Angela

Hi Peter,

This is absolutely fantastic. You have made my day.

A few of my possible children of George have been confirmed.

The other Redferns are quite possibly related but its George that I am interested in. He is the son of Isaac Redfern and Martha Milward. And its the Milwards and their descendents I am researching. As far as I know George was the only boy. But I thank you for you extensive research for me. You have been absolutely great. All my census are for Derbyshire and Staffordshire so if I can ever repay your kindness just give me a shout.

Thank you soooo  much. I am one happy Irish lass today.

Angela.
