1901 census look up please
« on: Tuesday 29 June 10 15:40 BST (UK) »
Could someone have a look for a George Herbert 1869, James 1871 and Thomas Gordon 1873 in the 1901 census.  They are all brothers but are probably  living separately.  They were born in the Cullen area.

Thomas was married to a Margaret Ann.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Betty

Hi Betty

Do you have any more information about James - unfortunately James Gordon is rather common in Scotland!  Was he married, what did he do - anything that might help narrow down the results a bit   :-\

Thanks greatly for the censuses.  That helps to tie up a few things I had.

I am afraid I have nothing more to add about James, other than  his parents were Charles and Isabella Gordon and I believe they lived in Rose Hill Cottage Cullen in 1891 but I am not sure if James was with them.  He would have been 20 years old.  He should have been at home in 1881 when his parents lived at Banffhead Tollbar, Cullen.

Thanks for your time with this research.

Betty

Thanks for the extra information that you have given me.  That is great.

I will check out the marriage for James to see if it is the correct James.  It certainly looks like the correct guy.

Thanks again for all your help.
