I have a photograph which includes Sergeant Ernest Tomkins, then of H Troop 73 Anti-Tank Battery Royal Artillery. The photograph of H Troop was taken in 1941 prior to embarkation for war at Wootton Hatch, Surrey. The unit became part of the 8th Armoured Division.  My father was once part of that unit but was discharged on medical grounds prior to embarkation. He told me that none of the troop, totalling over 160 men, survived the war. I would like to pass on a copy of the photograph to anyone that that has a genuine interest and to find out, if possible , what happened to H Troop. I understand  that there is reference to the 73rd on the BBC War Memories website and a Mary Tomkins has replied to this.
