St Helens Birth abt 1794

Can anyone help me please ?an ancestor of mine appears to have been born abt 1794-1802 in St Helens Jersey .She married William griffiths of Wiyhycombe Somerset and is shown on 1841,51and61 census  .I am trying to find her maiden name .I can find no trace of a marriage in Somerset and wonder if they were married in Jersey

Hi Catherine

You didn't mentioned what WG's wife first name was so I'm assuming I have the right one. As ever, there were two William Griffith marriages within 12 years but I guess the most likely one is 21st Mar 1819 when William Griffiths married Bridgit Bouldger at St Helier Parish Church. WG was a Private in the 55th Regiment of Infantry. There was no other information.

 Thank you so much for the information . sorry I forgot to mention Christian name but you did guess correctly . I have been trying to solve this mystery for ages .as usual Roots chat has the answer . thanks so much
