Hi trying to find any Mcveys that live arround CTyrone especially Cookstown.   My husband is a Mcvey  is name is Richard Mcvey and had relatives living in cookstown we think  his Gt Grandfather James McVey born about 1836 may have married a Mary ann smythe, however James came to Sydney australia on the ship the Telegraph about 1860 then married again.  James father was also a James we only have the information that he was born in Ireland, dont know when or where.  Hope someone could shed any light.   thought there may be some other Mcveys living.

Appreciate any information at all if possible thanks.

Hi,
There certainly was a marriage of a James McVey to Mary Anne Smith on 26 Apr 1855 in Ardboe Church of Ireland, Cookstown.
The name McVey occurs frequently in Tyrone.

The marriage was already given on your previous McVey thread-

To avoid any more needless duplication I'll lock this one and any more replies can be posted on the old thread.
