So sorry to take so long Ash but had a group of interstate rellies arrive unexpectantly over the weekend & didn't get a chance to get to the gallery. It's only open at weekends so will def go there this weekend.
Will let you know what I find ASAP.

Have you searched this link for your TRAEGER grave locations- only graves with headstones are listed.  Photos are available.

also another excellent website with photos -

Hi Ash,

I am descended from Friedrich Wilhelm Traeger (who came out on the Ship "August" in 1856) and Christiane Friedrike Schlotterbeck (Tanunda, SA born and bred) and their son Emil Richard Traeger who died 1936 in Kyabram, Victoria.

I have *some* Traeger info which family has gathered over the years and we're currently putting online at WeRelate.org (an open Wikipedia-based site). It's only bare-bones at the moment but would love to have another branch of the tree to contribute.
http://www.werelate.org/wiki/Person:Friedrich_Traeger_%281%29

Many sources have Friedrich coming from Weigelsdorf, Silesia (Schlesien), Prussia but one source from his own hand has his birth as perhaps Hamdorf, in Schleswig (now Schleswig-Holstein). We're debating now if he was born in Hamdorf and moved prior to 1856 to relatives in Weigelsdorf (where most Traegers seem to have travelled from) or if there is some other meaning.

We're only just getting back into the swing of investigating the Traeger line  and I'm sure we'll turn up some more information soon. Would be great to compare notes!

Regards,

- Paula
