I know this is an old thread but I have a brick wall to get around. I have been looking for links between the Trotter and Gibson families.  My 2x Great Grandmother was Isabella Trotter (Her mother was  born in Edrom) and she  named her Daughter Matilda Gibson  Key born 1887. This always puzzled us as we knew of no connection in the Key family so we thought it must be a Trotter connection.
So was interested to read this thread as I think there probably was a connection even if illegitimate.

No worries !  Its seems uncanny that in the past month I've run in to both yourself and this topic on a family I've been researching for over a decade with no prior contacts !

Gary

I am related to you too. Isabella and David are my 3x(?) great grandparents. Excited to see all this!
