Hi Prince2010 - this sounds like my grandfather that I have just started trying to find birth details for. He was a good old-time prospector in Rhodesia and I helped him peg what became a good nickel mine. Even with his leg injury he could walk very fast!
Great character - I am also trying to link his wife who was born in the US delivered by the Dr Kellogg! Again I have no date or parents just name and place! Francis Wessels Lindsay.
Would appreciate help with either.
Regards
Felix

Not sure whether this is relevant, but a "Mr Walter J. DRYSDALE" (aged 12 yrs or over - no other DRYSDALE travelled with him) sailed 1st class Liverpool-Rangoon on the "Arracan" in April 1908.

Felix, I have just read your post again and it does sound like the same person. I think it is also my friend's grandfather. The Rhodesia bit sounds promising and "Wessels" name is also unusual and common to him.
