Kate you don't seem to be quite sure of the spelling of the vessel on which your gggrandfather arrived in New Zealand and you have made your request on the Australian board. ;D

Cheers

Hi Cando   :)

Kate NZ posted a similar query on NZ board yesterday ... where we endeavoured to give some assistance.  ;D

[Query posted in NZ Resources section - rather than on main board. ]

Vessel "Wellesley" arrived Nov 1859 in Victoria (according to passenger list on PROV website).   Can't see a listing for FELLOWS.   :-\

Perhaps you can give us an idea of when this man was born ?

Thanks for your replies we were looking to see if he had maybe gone to Australia first as we dont have any record of him arriving why we were looking at that ship was his mother had posted a notice on missing relatives board and she stated he left England 1858 on board the Wellesley or Welsby and she thought he was NZ bound someone on here said the Wellesley traveled to Australia in 1858 Just trying all avenues
Cheers Kate NZ

Could you clarify the spelling of the ships name on the missing relatives board, the reason I ask is that your spellings above are different from your original spellings.

Andy

:)    Or maybe better still, can you post a link to the mother's message in the missing relatives article ??

It would be most helpful (to us) to also have the year of birth of Richard FELLOWS.

Cheers
