Hi yes that would of been my next avenue the only problem being TIME as i am not from staffordshire area so am unable at present to go to the local family history society thats the beauty of this forum when people assist with there resources rather than the online resources which are limited.

just an update found a register of birth for thomas bishop 1868 district of leek, staffordshire, going to see how close that district is to hartshill, newcastle under lyme, where christopher and kezia were married 1867.
