Robert James Smyth

My grandfather, Robert James Smyth,  was born at Gransha on July 24, 1886. His parents were James Smyth and Mary Smyth (formerly Tweedie). His father was a farmer.  Both his parents died when he was very young and he was raised by two aunts.  We hope to visit Ireland in the near future and are looking for information that would assist us in determining where his home was located, etc.

I needed to move your topic to Australia, New Zealand, USA or Canada - wasn't too sure where you were suggesting that Robert James Smyth Emigrated to from Ireland - but I took a guess at Canada from your login details. Hope this is a right guess?
