Yes, I have the certificate - I have birth cert (poor quality) and also a marriage cert - is it ok to send them?

I also wondered why George was 6 months old in the 1861 census, if born in 1859?

As long as the marriage cert to Matilda confirms his father as George then it's no problem.

I was also bothered about that 6mths age but the image definitely says 6mths which puts the birth approx September 1860

Son William was baptised 30.7.1831 St John the Evangelist Lambeth parents Ambrose & Sarah - Ambrose was a labourer

Just looked again at my first reply - George Lewton snr and Ann Crew only married in the March qtr of 1859 so son George was already on the way when they married

You've lost me!
First, to confirm
Birth Cert Of George Lewton
born 21.09.1859, at Mount Hill, Oldland
mother - Ann Lewton (formerly Crew)
Father - George Lewton, a coal miner
This birth was in the registration district of Keynsham, sub-district of Oldland, County of Gloucester.

Marriage Cert of George Lewton & Matilda Hunt - 12.10.1879
George - age 20, Labourer
Matilda - age 18, Machinist
both residing in Bitton, County of Gloucester.

I lost the leap to Keynsham, and the parents names being Ambrose & Sarah - was this guesswork?

Does it confirm that George's fathers name was also George?
