   Please could someone look-up a Birth or Christening for me in LIVERTON,NORTH YORKSHIRE. or CENSUS records.

ROBERT WALKER, born abt 1823, LIVERTON.
Father DAVID or DANIEL.

Hi Mazz,

I can find no sign of your Robert Walker in my 1851 Census Indexes for: Redcar, Marske, Loftus, Wilton, Ormesby, Cleveland Port, Eston, Normanby, Brotton or Easington. The Easington Census covers Liverton.

However I have found a number of Walker's in the Easington census index for 1851 listed as born in Liverton, who could be of the same family. The original returns would need checking to confirm. I'll list them below;

Surname, First Names, Age, Place of birth.

Walker, Daniel, 50, YKS Liverton
Walker, Ann, 34, YKS, Loftus
Walker, Mary Ann, 13, YKS Liverton
Walker, John, 10, YKS Liverton
Walker, Elizabeth, 4, YKS Liverton
Walker, Margaret, 2, YKS Liverton
Walker, Daniel, 90, Liverton

All the above are on Census No HO/107, Piece Ref: 2375, Folio 28.

They could all be living at the same address or very close to each other. As I said You'll need to check out the actual return to verify the details and relationships etc.  I hope this is of some use.

Hi Mazz,

I should mention; areas that I haven't checked for Robert Walker are Skelton, Hinderwell, Kirkleatham and Upleatham (I don't have the indexes), these locations are not too far away from Liverton.

        Thanks again for the info.
I have found Robert Walker on 1851 Census for Middlesbrough, he was married by then so wont be on the info you gave me. it says he is 35 so he was born abt 1816.
I am very grateful for all you have done for me. 

All I need to find now is his birth or Christening.
