Did any of your Ancestors (grandad or G Grandad, or Uncle) go to Salford Grammar for Boys, based originally at Leaf Square.

I am hoping to find relatives of the following boys/teachers who died in WW1, these are taken for the Plaque.

the memorial was unveiled by canon peter green in 1921 in the school hall at salford secondary school for boys[1934 became salford grammar]

Thanks for that manmack.

I have the complete list of WW1 men buried in Weaste, over 1000, am working on taking photos of all of them, but the additional information I can pass on to the Old boys association, they seem to be struggling finding living relatives, as they only have initial and surname to work on.

The memorial had gone missing, and I put a request out knowing I had seen it at Buile Hill High School, once Salford Boys Grammar, luckily somone knew it was still there hidden away in a store room, photos were taken, then the outcome was looking pretty grim, the Old Boys found out about it and have had it restored and its going back to Leaf Square.

So alls well, just hope we can find some relatives for the rededication :)
