Burradon is in the parish of Longbenton part of which was Tynemouth registration district so a Tynemouth registration is not out of the question.

If the family were C of E you can find a lot of the bishop's transcripts for the parishes mentioned on the familysearch pilot site.  A lot of cash can be saved by looking for baptisms, marriages and burials rather than births, marriages and deaths  ;D

Hi stuartroxy,

Sometimes further replies aren't forthcoming if you haven't replied to the previous post.

When you reply it gives us a little nudge that you are still looking .

Are there any of the children's whereabouts you are still looking for?

A good point suz; sorry!

I'll need to check with the in-laws and get back to you; but, in the meantime, any information helps!

Hi all - not sure of the etiquette on here as Ive just joined the forum, but saw this post and was hoping to maybe find out more information from someone on the same topic?

My grandfather was John Davison who died in 1934 a few months after my father was born and therefore we know very little of this side of the family.

What we do know is that he married Esther Riches in Decembe 1932 at Killingworth Parish Church and was at the time residing in Lane Row Burradon, Northumberland.  He was probably born in 1909-10.

His father was James Davison but other than that we know nothing about the family and I was wondering if you had any further details on the Burradon Davisons which might tie in with the above.

many thanks

Hello snowydog welcome to RootsChat

Do you have John and Esther's marriage cert?

If so what occupation does it give for father (james) and who were witnesses (sometimes they are related)

I have found a possibility -but need more info to confirm
