I cannot find any connection at all between Ruby and the Izzard family.  Her mother was not an Izzard before marriage and her mother died in 1945 and her father in 1956 so there could not have been a re-marriage between Ruby's mother and Herbert Izzard

Wow all of this information is really helpful thank you :) We already have our hands on Barbara Izzard's (my grandma) birth, marriage and death certificate. We have also mamaged to order another certificate for her father and mother I belive - Herbert and Elsie.

You are coorect in saying that Ruby was NEVER an Izzard, her mother married Barbara's Dad (Herbert Izzard) after Ruby was born is what we are lead to believe but we are unsure as to what this womans name was and what her maiden name was as Ruby became a Kemp after marrying Frank (Francis) so think the info you have here is correct also - somethin else I can start looking into :)

YOu people work quick - I love it thank you - I believe my mother is going to stay in Hitchin for the weekend to se if she can visit the local archives and libraries to find more what and where do you suggest she goes or looks for please?

Much appreciated,
Annabelle :)

This is great Carole thank you very much shall try and work with this line of info.
Any ideas if I can search archive newspapers in hitchin for obituaries etc.... to see if she had any children or if anyone placed something in the paper for her?

Thank you again,
Annabelle :)

There is a possible child but I cannot post details here as the child may still be living.  I will send you a pm with details

A copy of her death cert will give details of who reported the death and should show an address at that time.  However - she died 24yrs ago so that info may no longer be relevant
