Looking for info re finding a birth in Hungary.I have the date-what I need to try and find is the location.Another problem is that the given names are anglicized.

Additional info.

Immigration record mentions Ta-ventunklos,Hungary.When I googgled the name nothing showed.Probably mis-spelt.Anyone have any ideas?

Can only guess, unless you can post an image of the relevant bit of text... but from the shape of the word it could be Szentmiklós (i.e. the name of the saint). If you think there is a prefix beginning with T-, there are a number of possibilities, e.g. Táp-, Tarna-, Tornyi- and Tőrők- used to distinguish the various places named after the saint in Hungary.

Outside Hungary but in pre-Trianon Hungary there was also Tiszaszentmiklós (now in Serbia) and doubtless others.

Did you ever sort your problem over the place name? 
I have access to some Budapest post 1895 databases, so it may help if you revealed the information you have got like the names of the people you are searching for or their parents.  It is not uncommon to find a sibling (with the same parental combo) that has relocated to the city and you may be able to identify the location from their documentation.
