Hi Craig

I found a site which has an index to some archived obituraries.  If you look under December 2, there is an entry for a Herbert Hirschfield, age 80 and it mentions the names of two sons.  The full obit is not there but with that date you may be able to request a lookup of the obituary in either the Vancouver Sun or Vancouver Province.  The Vancouver Public Library may have an "Ask the Librarian" service or you could post on Rootschat and some kind rootschatter may be able to help you out.

Unfortunately, it appears that this site is no longer maintained.

When searching Hirschfield on Canada411.com, there is an entry in Vancouver for a J. Hirschfield....may be some connection?

Susan
