Okay thanks very much :)

aha - now why didn't I think of that!

Ok: 1940 Kings Rd west side

Abbey Cott south
Abbey Cott north - I know where these are!
Poplar Cottage
Clovelly (another Wood in residence)
Stanley
Hiltonia
Hazel Bank

Well I think this is bad news! The next house along from Abbey Cottage is a row of terraced cottages - still there today - and definitely not the one in the photo  :(

How long were the Woods in residence?

Thanks, so does that mean that ormonde cottage was renamed clovelly? or not?

I have no idea whether or not the Woods in question are any relation, I just thought it had to be likely seen as there were woods living in an 'ormonde cottage' . All the Wood side of my family are from up north so it seems weird that any would be in malvern wells, but who knows?!

Nick.

Yes it looks like it was renamed Clovelly.

So it looks like you may have to look elsewhere for your house  :(

Netti, the photo was taken before it would have been renamed though, so it could actually be the Clovelly house couldn't it? Or do you know that house and it isnt the one in question?

Philheeks - I emailed the site a couple of days ago, but havnt had a reply..

Nick.

Nick

I think all of the cottages were in a terrace - there's a chance it was one at the end. I have emailed a friend to see if she can help...

Recently had some family tree work done and found in 1911 census my family were listed as living in Ormonde Cottage, Worcestershire.

Julie, I don't know if you noticed, but this thread is from 2010.
