Law Family from Fife Scotland
« on: Monday 26 July 10 21:50 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I am looking for some help with my Law family who originally came from Dysart, Fife. William Law married Margaret Fullarton in Dysart in 1825. They had eight children and by the 1841 census they were living in Auchterderran, Fife.
William was a journeyman sawyer and later listed as a carpenter. My husband's ancestor Andrew born Dysart 10th August 1836 was William and Margaret's son. His elder brother David (born 12th December 1826) came to Australia. Andrew followed in 1863.
I am hoping to find out what happened to their brothers and sisters.
John born 29 December 1830 at Dysart
William born 12 February 1833 at Dysart
Isabella born 9 July 1928 at Dysart
Christina born 7 July 1829 at Dysart
Agnes born 8 November 1834 at Dysart
Elizabeth born c1939 at Auchterderran
If anyone can help I would be most grateful.
Law-Fife, Shepherd-Perth, Scotland, Elworthy-Devon, Berrisford-Ashover, Derbyshire, Ryan-Callan, Kilkenney Co, Ireland.

Hello DD,
Thank you for Margaret Law's date of death, I thought maybe she died. Also thanks for her parentage. Interestingly I found on the IGI a David Law born 29 November 1857 at Auchterderran, mother Agnes Law not Elizabeth. David's age of 3 years in 1861 would be right. Agnes who was born 1834 would have been aged about 23 when he was born. I wonder what happened to her.
I can't find Elizabeth Law's birth in Auchterderran, nor her son David, on the IGI.
Thank you for your help I appreciate it.
