 Charlotte Isabella Stewart March Qtr 1850 Tynemouth.

(First two might be same birth)

 Charlotte Isabella Stewart aged 1 yr is on 1851 census ( 2410-33-35) in North Shields with her parents.

Michael, I don't think that is my Charlotte Farr in 1851. At no stage have I come across the middle name of Isabella in any of details.

I think Radcliff maybe right and I need some birth certs to solve this as it had never crossed my mind the reason why I coudn't find her birth entry. Always thought it was one of those names that hadn't been added.

Charlotte had taken her father's name in 1851 as she shows up on the census with George whilst the remainder of Mary's children are clearly Stewarts. Cannot find a Charlotte Stewart in the IGI only C Farr Batch No C155974.

Will check out the info from Alan and see where that leads me as I don't have very much on George especially if there is some military history, so it would be nice to take him back a little further.

You misunderstand my too-brief info. By saying "that" Charlotte was with her parents on 1851 and giving the census page ref ( 2410-33-35) I was eliminating her !

Oh  , my mistake, I see what you mean. When I read it, I couldn't bear the thought that I had been going down the wrong road (though in this instance I couldn't see how) but I do see what you mean about the absence of Charlotte's birth details.
I've asked a cousin who lives up that neck of the woods to see if she can do a library visit which may help solve it.
