Hi Maggsie

Have you come across a Robert Powel(l) who married and lived in Clonlara.  His dau Eliza married my gg grandfather in 1843 in Kiltenanlea Parish Church, but the record was destroyed.  The name Francis Powell features also and I suspect he may have been a brother to Robert.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

As far as I know, he didn't have any sons.... but I may be wrong.

Its all so frustrating as I've been searching for decades.

Any help would be marvellous.

Kind regards

Hi Maggsie

Where and when did the Robert Powell you mention, have a son John?  Who did John marry and do you know when Lily was born?

Never heard of a son John... so I'd like to check him out, just in case.

Any other thoughts?

Regards

ooops sorry,
My mistake, wrong name and place.
The only Robert Powell I can find is in KILVELLANE County Tipperary. 1848 and 1850 in Griffiths valuation. The townland is SCRAGGEEN.
This map shows the area.
