Looking for information on the above, he married Elizabeth Edwards in 1757, think she was born in Upton Pyne, Devon. Would like to find his parents, but cannot find any record of his birth in Brampford Speke. There are two Thomas Gays in IGI born in 1733, one in Farway and one in Atworth Wiltshire. It's not impossible that one of these is the one I'm looking for but can't find any proof. Anyone out there come across these people in their searches??
