Ok I'm not the only blond one then.
Found loads of the burgess clan on the 1881 census all around eastbourne still which is nice.

Found the Bradfords under the name Verrall!!!

Seems Samuel Bradford was illegitimate -

Christening - Samuel Bradford 28/02/1808 Eastbourne
Parents - Samuel Verrall and Jane Bradford

Back with 1841 census in a sec....

William, Eliza, William and Charlotte (Burgess) are on 1841 census but the page has been copied folded over so cant read anything but the names and the fact that they were born in county HO107/1114/11 Folio 41 Page 12 (under the name "Burge" because of the folded page) Hellingly, Sussex
