Welcome to RootsChat The Duck Egg  :)

Are you sure they're still in Gloucestershire in 1911? Unfortuately 1911 census look-ups aren't allowed on this site. The actual census would tell you how many children were born alive to the marriage, and how many died.

Here's a possible death for Leah:

Leah Cox age 86
Dec 1963    Swindon 7c 598

Knowing that Henry Joseph was born around 1869, this could be him:

Death Henry J Cox age 52
Jun 1921 Swindon 5a 29

Hi the duck egg

Not everyone had the right to vote before the Great War.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Representation_of_the_People_Act_1918

so early electoral registers won't help.

Without looking at the actual entry it is still possible to see that the only child with them in 1911 was Joseph Henry Cox, 5 whose birth was registered in Swindon in Mar 1906. A possible death in Feb 1992 gives his birth date as 12 Jan 1906.

There are no Cox births on freebmd after Sep 1911 where the mother's maiden name is Firkin (maiden names are given after that date). The 1911 census was taken on April 2nd so it is possible that a child was born between the census and the Sep 1911 registrations. The only one registered in Swindon in Jun 1911 was Elsie M Cox, but the chances of her being their child must be small.

Are you trying to find descendants of this couple, or other information?

Richard
