Just listing this in case it is your William!

Marriage;
THOMAS Partridge
Sarah FARR, 18 May 1771, Acton Burnell, Shropshire

Christenings of Children of Thomas/Sarah (Thomae and Sarae)
Acton Burnell, Shropshire (Birth dates are also on entries)
ELIZABETHA, 27 May 1772
GUILIEMUS, 23 November 1774
WINIFREDA, 25 April 1777
JACOBUS, 09 January 1783
THOMAS, 07 January 1786
RICHARDUS, 09 June 1789
JOANNES, 24 July 1792 (Male)
(Source Familysearch Pilot)

I unfortunately think that your William may have had more than 2 Marriages given his age at 1st Marriage and 2nd marriage you have for him.

hi Trish and Kevin

tx for that, yes like Kevin I think he must have married more than once.

why would they use latin names instead of english ones, was it just fashionable at the time.

This for you Kevin, there were coal mines in Shrewsbury but it was for Shropshire domestic use, read my thread on Shropshire family History Society and the reply.

How did you manage to find all that information on Family pilot Trish, I trawl through so much and seem to get no where.

Tx again,  catch you soon Kevin

regards

Steph
