Hello Yvette

In the 1861 census there is an Edward Grazier age 29 living at Mushroom Green with wife Mirah + children
                                                                                          RG9/2062  folio 107   page 54
thought he may be related to Thomas.

In 1871 Edward + family are living at Rowley Regis- he states he was born Bromsgrove Worcs.

Jackie
ps.Edward also wed at St Thomas 28 Nov.1852 (Mira Pearson) might be worth asking for a parish reg. look-up for this and the one for
Thomas BRAZIER.

Tipton:Whitehouse (boatman) Timmins

Really appreciate all the info to date everyone.

It's looking like Jane was married 3 times!! Thing is I still don't know what has happened to Thomas Grazier/ Brazier Janes first husband.

This is some giant jigsaw and you have all helped me so much, must get ordering some certificates ^_^
and hopefully it may answer whether Thomas has died or ran off!!

All seems so sad for Jane Spittle / Grazier / Hethrington / Taylor

Thank you keyboard86 and Jackie that's great info Edward I reckon must be Thomas Grazier's brother...
I am new to this Jackie so what would  a parish look up show for Edward GRAZIER and Thomas BRAZIER?
Sorry if that sounds like dim question :-\

There are no dim questions Yvette ;D

Jackie is suggesting you post a new thread on the Worcestershire board to see if anyone has access to parish registers for the GRAZIER family at Bromsgrove.

There are a couple of Thomas GRAZIERs on the 1841 and 1851 censuses.  Have you tried tracing them at all?

Heather

Major Break through for me thank you Heather for prompt!! ;)

I have Thomas BRAZIER / GRAZIER wedding cert to Jane SPITTLE

on it his fathers name is William BRAZIER  a Shoemaker.

Looking on the 1951 census we have a William GRAZIER  Boot & Shoemaker living in Hanbury. with a son Thomas GRAZIER age 10!!

The only query I have though is on Thomas BRAZIER wedding cert  1863 he is down as a minor?
and yet from my calculations I have him down as 22 in 1863 due to the fact on the 1851 census he is aged 10 and his birth year 1841.

Do you think I have the right one?

The IGI has a christening Oct 31, 1841 for a Thomas Grazier at Hanbury, s/o William GRAZIER and Mary Ann.   When was the date of the wedding?    Maybe Thomas lost track of how old he was ;D  Who were the witnesses?
