Hello .
      have james born knaresboro england.1903.
age 21 in 1924.left england.from port of Harrogate.to Quebec. on the ship Megantic.to settle down.and stay.
is it possible to find out if he married . or died there
 hope this does not class as living abbey.as aware if married
 would have children maybe aliive today.

Harrogate is in North Yorkshire and not a port  ???

      knew where harrogate is .aware not a port .am copying what the ship departure form states.

I think you'll find that the ship actually left from Liverpool not Harrogate. Could Harrogate be part of an address on the form?

The Canadian Form 30A which replaced the ships passengers lists for a few years shows the booking agent for the passage was in Harrogate.  Destination for James was Toronto.

Marriages for Ontario are only available on ancestry until 1926 and from the Ontario archives on microfilm for the following year.  Marriages past that are protected by privacy laws.  You can check to see if he stayed in the Toronto area by looking up the Toronto Public library and through their Ask a Librarian feature have them check their directories for a listing for him.  If he remained in the Toronto area you can access Pages of the Past - a pay site for the Toronto Star to see if there is a marriage announcement for him.

 did not want to upset any- one. if was seeking living people
 as read rules on site before posting.but as born in 1903.
thought chances were all right to post.
