I presume you refer to the "Cameo" type photos?

I don`t know the process, but I might be able to find out how much (but it may vary dependent on the cemetery), also be aware of cemetery rules & how strictly they are applied.

Yes I mean the cameo type photo and have confirmed that they are allowed on the headstone so if you can find out prices for me or the process to do it thank you very much

The price for the smallest which is 6cmx 9cm is £300, I presume this includes fitting?

That`s the price @ Streatham Park Cemetery, I asked one of the nice Ladies.

How the process is done, they didn`t know other than its fired, presumably in a kiln.

If I find anything else out, I`ll post again.

Hi, I had this done about 4 years ago but no use to you as it was in Dublin
but either inflation has taken its toll on the prices or it depends who sets
the prices,I was told at the time that the photos I gave them would be
sent away to Italy to have them done and took a few weeks but the price
at that time was 90 euro,a big difference to what you have been quoted
as this would convert to a lot less in sterling.

Right done a bit of Searching on Google.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSEoUHvun1c&feature=related

It seems relatively easy to do.....But many things that look easy normally turn out to be anything but.

The last 2 links are Utube vids.

Now me being me & very much into DIY, I`m thinking...How does one do this....Cheaply.

The way I`d approach this is to take a trip to the Seaside.

I can now see folks thinking .. He`s really losing his marbles, but what do you find at the seaside (in fairness in town as well), lots of souvenir shops, "Have your photo on a Tee Shirt" "Have a Photo Mug" etc....

The last video shows a photo mug, so you go armed with photo/s & buy a few Photo Mugs, but ask that they don`t apply them to the Mug & you walk away with the transfers already to apply to a ceramic product... video 2 shows a temperature of 150C easily achievable in a domestic oven.

If you are clever you`ll have a photo that is a multi-photo of the same image, so you get a few transfers from one transfer.

Now how do you get a Cameo? A dremmel type tool, a ceramic tile & patience or perhaps find something that shape. The big problem will be finding a nice frame.

But for a few £`s & a few spare Mugs in the cupboard, you`ll at least be able to try.

It`ll be an interesting project & I`d be interested in how you get on.

Just a few ideas from me, I`d try a transfer to a standard tile first, I`d place transfer then place a sheet of greaseproof paper then a flat piece of metal & somehow clamp/clip it all together then place in oven...As always at your own risk & be careful.

Regards.
