This is a recent problem.

Since downloading the new Ancestry viewer I am unable to save images. I know others were in the same position.

Has anyone cracked it yet? I've tried to contact them, but can never seem to work out how!! (Hopeless I know)

Please help - I want to keep the NEW WELSH 1901 CENSUS IMAGES (YEAY!!!!!!)

Does right clicking and "Save Picture As" not work? It does for me (on Win 98 SE). In fact it works much better than before as it saves as a gif and not a bmp.

I have the same Problem....I have Windows 98 SE also Pam.....Right Clicking appears to work but when I try to bring up the image it is just a little blue box in corner of page....Kris

When I right click it just brings up the "Properties" box.

I'm also Windows 98 - changing to a new machine on Tuesday when the internet gets plugged in woo-hoo!!

But why have a save icon if it doesn't work?? I would still like to know.

And if anyone knows how to contact the powers that be...

By the way, have you notice the 2002 phone and address directories ? I appear not to be able to get in to them either, despite having full access.

i still click on the 'disc' icon in the ancestry viewer - i haven't had any trouble.

i am using XP - i don't know if other windows versions react differently to the viewer.

what do you mean by 2002 phone and address directories? Are they in ancestry and if so where?

Yes on Ancestry

I did a search and below the censuses, below the bmd and gazeteers etc there was a new icon with that title.

It has a padlock beside it and I can't fathom out what they want you to do. Unless it is just pay per view?

See if you can find it and tell me what you think!!

Hi

I have had no problems saving anything on Ancestry I use the small blue save disc to save census's.

As for the 2002 directory I dont appear to have that at all or it might be me just cant find it that would make more sense

It is under "Directories and membership lists"
