HELP!
I need some help please to determine where my Irish ancestors came from. I'm looking for my GG Grandparents.
I have always thought it was in the region of the South of Ireland but exactly where I don't know.
This is what I
think is correct but I'm really not sure -
Daniel Gollihar1861 census
7 May Back Court? Shoreditch
Daniel GOLLIHAR 42 builders labourer Ireland
Honora 46 Ireland
James 22 Builders labourer Fulham
Daniel 15 gun maker
Bridget 13
Ellen 8
All children born Fulham and apparently went by the name of GollerEllen Goller was my GGrandmother, she married: - Michael Callan, Plaisterer and Modeler, in 1877, St Pauls's Church, Hammersmith.
Michael's father was
Jeremiah Callan - garden labourer, born Ireland, circa 1807. Believe he married a Mary ?Unknown.
I may have found him in the 1851 census going by the name of Jerry Coholane. Still with Mary Jeremiah was still alive at the wedding of his son Michael in 1877 but I know he died in Fulham - somewhere!.
The name changes often...1851 census Jerry Coholane, 1861 census it is Carroll but in 1871 census all the same family at the same address it is now Callihan. At Michael's wedding it was Callan and all of Ellen and Michael's children were Clarn!
