Chapplow family

I am researching my boyfriend's family tree and have come across his great, great, great grandfather JOHN CHAPPLOW (1830-?).

John was born in either Bampton or Kirkby Stephen. I know he married SARAH NELSON and had 7 children. He lived in Westmorland but moved to Cumberland in his later years. I have tracked his life through the census records for 1841, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901. I have also found his baptism already but what I am looking for his parents. His baptism notes show that his mother's name was BRIDGET.

Is there any way I can find out who his parents were? Can anyone help?

Do you have his marriage cert, to see what he says about his father?

I can't see a christening with a mother Bridget (edit: OK, I've seen it, in Kirkby Stephen 1830), but I did find this (extracted record from www.familysearch.org)

His birth place is consistently Bampton ca. 1828 on the censuses as far as I can tell. The Chappelhow family (minus John, who might be the 12 year old boy in service) are at Bampton in 1841, HO107/1162/3 8 10

has John Chapelhowe with parents Richard and Sarah and a visitor -Sarah Nilson.
They are 22 yrs and 23 yrs respectivley but he was transcribed as 12 yrs- this has been altered.

Thatnks for that information Trish. I have just been looking at the 1841 census records and found the family with those children (except Cecilia Ann). They have a daughter listed as Isabella aged 1. Could this be Cecilia Ann?

Possibly as I cant find anything else for her, well no death anyhow.
Richard Snr is with Richard Jnr in Cumberland in 1861.
