LDS Microfiche Records
« on: Wednesday 11 August 10 16:25 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a personal copy of some the microfiche records that LDS hold and if so how to go about it?

Regards,

Mark

As far as I know you can't buy them, but if you order them to be viewed at your local LDS site then they will be kept at that site ad infinitum, and not returned as the films are.  Hope this helps.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Most of the LDS centres don't mind if you take photos of the images on the readers, but you need a steady hand, and don't forget to turn the camera flash off.
