Just a heads up if anyone has relatives who were linked to Rufford parish church, St Mary the Virgin. The church is open on Sunday afternoons in the summer. I went last week with my father and we spent a long time talking to a lovely old lady there - it turned out she knew my dad's granny's family from Holmeswood very well, she told us a lot of local stories too. Well worth a visit if you have links to it!
