Of course it helps, particularly as I was looking for them in Hunts! If you want help we need to have as much relevant information that you have.

Were they living in Bedford St Paul in 1861 with children Frank 17, Alice 2, Lizza 1 month? George was a plumber, but both were shown as being born in Northants, Geo in Wellingborough and Eliz in Little Addington. (I see you were given the Little Addington birthplace in your earlier thread in the Common Room)

If this is the right family why are you posting on the Hunts board? Wouldn't it be better on the Northants board?

If you buy their marriage cert from the GRO you'll get fathers' names

Hi Andrew

I've a planned visit to the Beds Archives on Wed 25th so I'll take a look at the marriage certificate entry in the Bedford St Pauls parish register. As David says it should give us her father's name & it may also tell us if she was a widow seeing she was 38 at the time.

I don't know if you know this, but George Odell's first wife was Louisa Skempton who he married in Wellingborough RD in June 1839 & she died Dec 1851. She was baptised Riseley Beds 26 Jul 1812 to John & Elizabeth Skimpton.

Also I do have a few Colson/Coulson names linked to my Partridges who came across the fields from Northants, but they were from Wollaston & in the late 1790's.

cheers John

Hi All.

johnp directed me here.  :)

Andrew as you know the marriage took place in St Paul's
do you have the full details at all.

There are some Colson folk in Little and Great Addington.

What we need to confirm when able is whether Elizabeth
was a widow at the marriage you know about.
