please dont 'bump' you own posts unless you have new information that might help your search.

As mentioned before, you need to know where, i.e. which town townland or parish, in Co. Carlow your Doyles came from. It's a very common surname and parishes may not have records back as far as the dates you are looking for.

Have you followed up on the census returns for Irish born members of the family to see if any give a more detailed location ?

If your Doyle family were Church of Ireland then you could try the IrishGenealogy website at www.irishgenealogy.ie  (they dont have any RC records at the moment).
