James Howarth b.approx 1838 in West Derby and Sarah Howarth b. approx 1835 in West Derby

I found them on the 1871 census living at Swan Lane West Derby but I'm having a hard time trying to find out marriage or any other information.

I'd really appreciate your help - Thanking you in advance!

Well with the information I've given you for the birth of Ralph you will be able to order the certificate online at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ which will give you the surname for certain.

Then I know it wouldn't be absolutely certain, but I would check out www.1837online.com from about a year before the first child was born for the marriage, as I can't find anything on the available sites for in the region of 1857/58/59 and there is as yet a shortage of Liverpool marriages on LancashireBMD

Hello Annie,

Just as a matter of interest, did any of your Howarths (John Robert)
marry a Wilhelmina Hughes in 1915?

If so I would be pleased to hear from you.

Wilhelmina was my Grans sister.

best wishes
JeannieR
