Martin - have I missed a generation ? Does that mean that your grandfather, John Frederick b 1861/63, was 51 when your father Cecil was born in 1912 ? I found John Frederick as being born in 1861 with a younger sibling Caroline born in 1863 who died in 1864.

Yes -correct on both counts.It was John Fredericks second marriage in 1900 his first marriage being in 1883.
Do you have any info on the previus generations.Particularly William Klingsick born 1828 and his wife Charlotte Golding,also Christian Klingsick.(cannot trace their deaths)
I have Charlotte and Williams Marriage cert in 1855

Sorry - don't have any further info on the Klingsicks/Goldings. I have only just started researching my wife's side, as I have come to a halt with my own side which is not British.
